Description: Lying between Jedburgh and Hawick, these are the remains of a 16th century tower house. It was held by Margaret Home of Cowdenknowes prior to her wedding to William Turnbull of Bedrule. It is recorded as one of the towers destroyed by the Earl of Hertford during his raids which devastated the Borders in 1545.
