Description:
Remains of a 13th or 14th century chapel and graveyard are enclosed within the defensive earthworks of an earlier farmstead. A low mound known as the "Cout o' Kielder's Grave" may be the grave of Sir Richard Knout (Knut) of Kielder, Sheriff of Northumberland, who died about 1290.

How to get there:
By car: Along the minor road which leads from the B6357 Newcastleton to Hawick road to Hermitage Castle. Site is just past the Castle and on the same side of the burn. Walk over the bridge and turn left.
